Lost Ark doesn't feature the traditional holy trinity of classes—DPS, healer, and tank. Tanks aren't really a thing in Lost Ark, and there are only two support classes in the NA/EU version (Paladin and Bard). Support classes are in hot demand in just about every server, so if you just want to pick a class that is highly valued at endgame, play a Bard or Paladin. If you want to play as a DPS, look for a class that mechanically or stylistically jives with you. There aren't any DPS comparisons or anything you need to worry about.

Rage is always full, with damage increased by 4% at level 1, 9% at level 2, and 18% at level 3. Attack speed and movement speed increased by 15%. Reduces max HP to 25%, but you take 65% less damage.

A Guardian Raid is an endgame activity where up to four players work together to take down a Guardian boss. Players have 20 minutes to find and kill the Guardian, and each Guardian boss comes with unique mechanics. This is one of Lost Ark's daily endgame activities, much in the same vein as Chaos Dungeons .

Starting out, you'll only be able to clear the first raid level of Guardians. To unlock additional raid levels, you'll need to complete all subsequent Guardian Raids. For example, to unlock raid level two, you'll need to complete all four Guardian Raids at raid level one. Tiers are broken down as follows:

World Decimation - World Decimation is the preferred Awakening skill in almost every scenario. The Gunlancer is a heavy tank class that provides some shield buffs for your party, as well as by far and large one of the most useful skills in the game: a taunt . The Gunlancer also has a powerful shield that lets you ignore a lot, if not all, attacks - even those from bosses. This means you can stick right in the face of the boss, taking heavy hits (even staggers and knock-ups) while consistently doing damage. Most leveling guides you'll read on the internet will recommend that you skip every side quest in Lost Ark. And they're right, mostly. Side quests give pitiful XP and rewards in the KR and RU versions of Lost Ark, but Smilegate made some small reward changes in the NA/EU version.

Lost Ark is finally here. After years of waiting, western audiences can finally hack and slash their way through Lost Ark's leveling and endgame experiences. Hundreds of quests, dozens of activities, and multiple progression systems will keep devoted players busy for hours.

Guardian Raids allow you to harvest a Guardian's soul upon completing, granting you a shower of loot. You can only harvest a Guardian's soul twice per day per character. Similar to Chaos Dungeons, it's possible to farm Guardian Raids more than twice per day, but your subsequent clears won't give as much loot unit the weekly reset.

If you've got the space for a fifth Engraving (you won't at the start, check out our Engravings guide if you need more info on that) then grab the other Sharpshooter class Engraving, Loyal Companion. It provides a solid boost to your Hawk gauge (+30%) as well as extra movement speed and damage.
